A growing renewable energy project developer
The story of Winda Energy Oy began in 2011, although at the time the company operated under the name Winda Power. The company was established for the development of Finnish wind power projects, and in 2012, the development activities of wind farms also shifter to Winda Power. The operations were carried out in the early years with only a few employees.
In 2020, the company’s name was hanged to Winda Energy Oy. During 2023, Winda expanded its operations from wind power development to include solar power as well.
The past few years have been a period of strong growth for Winda, reflected in the expansion of its personnel. Currently, Winda is already an organization with over 20 employees.
In the future, Winda’s vision is to become one of the leading renewable energy project developers in Finland. Winda is committed to long-term local collaboration in its project areas and aims to support sustainable economic growth throughout Finland.
With its specialized staff, Winda is prepared to apply the latest technologies and solutions in the energy sector to clean energy project development.
The majority shareholder of Winda Energy is a private equity investor BHM Renewables.
A group of Finnish private investors hold minority stakes in the company.
