Winda Energy is planning a wind farm in Pyöriänneva, Pyhäntä. The preliminary project area is about 2022 hectares in size and is located in the northeastern part of Pyhäntä, about 7 km east of Tavastkenkä. About 20-24 wind turbines are tentatively planned for the area. The number and location of turbines will be specified through discussions with landowners and the master planning process. In addition, an environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure will be carried out for the area.

Current news

  • 04/2023 – As part of the EIA assessment, a resident survey was sent to those living within 10 km of the project area.
  • 03/2023 – Public meeting for the Pyöriänneva wind farm project in Pyhäntä 16.3.
  • 12/2022 – Public meeting regarding the EIA program was held in Pyhäntä 8.12.
  • 11/2022 – Landowner meeting and open public meeting held on 8-9.11. in Pyhäntä
  • 09/2021 – The municipality of Pyhäntä approved the zoning initiative for the Pyöriänneva project
