Kupinavaara – Ranua & Pudasjärvi

Winda Energy is planning wind farms in Ranua and Pudasjärvi, in the Kupinavaara area. The preliminary project areas combined are about 12 500 hectares in size and located to about 23 km southwest from Ranua center. About 75-105 wind turbines are tentatively planned for the areas. The number and location of turbines will be specified through discussions with landowners and the master planning process. In addition, an environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure will be carried out for the area.
