Winda Energy Oy collaborates with Conquest
Wind power brings significant investments to Finland in the coming years. Contributing to this trend is the recently significantly growing Winda Energy Oy. The renewable energy project development company, founded in Finland in 2011, has signed an agreement with the French private equity firm Conquest Group for the implementation of 182 megawatts of onshore wind power capacity in collaboration.
– We are delighted about the collaboration and believe that with Conquest, we have found a reliable partner for our growth. Wind power investments are an important part of Finland’s economic growth and also accelerate the green transition, says Tuomas Hooli, CEO of Winda Energy.
At the development stage, Winda Energy currently has approximately 25 wind and solar power projects underway across Finland. The collaboration with the fund is intended to continue in the future, particularly concerning a 500-megawatt onshore wind power portfolio.
With the deal, Conquest expands its position in the renewable energy sector in the Nordic markets. The collaboration involves a phased total investment of approximately one billion euros, which will be implemented gradually over the coming years. Winda Energy Oy will continue as the project developer and contractor for the investment projects.
